I've always thought of Christine McVie as the "glue" of Fleetwood Mac. Her consistent songwriting and keyboard playing spanned almost three decades of the band's history, joining the group in 1970 as they released their oft-forgotten "Kiln House" album, providing the band with their first major American hits in 1975 with "Over My Head" and "Say You Love Me," and bowing out for good in 1998 following the reunion of the classic "Rumours" lineup. Many folks I've talked to that have seen Fleetwood Mac always say it was a great show, but her songs and voice were missed.
Lucky London concertgoers are in for a treat-- Christine McVie will rejoin her old band onstage for a pair of gigs. While fans would love it if she would fully rejoin, I'm pretty sure at age 70, all she wants to do is have a brief reunion for the fun of it, and go home and go to bed. I think she's earned it, personally! --Leif Erickson
